    Gyros are one of the foods that I really love, but rarely get to order. We stopped by a group of food trucks and as soon as I spotted Hefty Gyros I knew what I wanted. We did stop towards the end of the night, so I'll have to try them again to see if the next experience is better. I ordered the Gyro Meal Deal with Baklava and a water ($17). It was ready pretty quickly and we took it home along with food from another truck my husband stopped at. The meal was wrapped nicely and it was still hot when we got home. I thought it was unique that Hefty Gyros doesn't use tomatoes and has banana pepper rings on their gyros. I also noticed in the photos that they had red onion, but I didn't notice it on my gyro. I did like the hot sauce they added to the gyro though, it added a bit of extra flavor and was really good. The baklava was delicious and I would definitely order it again. I would try Hefty Gyros again and maybe order something different the next time to explore their menu.

    The food is amazing! Always prepared fresh and the service is always on point ! Every time I see this truck I always have to stop and grab something. Great customer service and I highly recommend checking this truck out !

    I happened to stop by Hefty Gyros' food truck during soccer playoffs in Davis on a warm Sunday for lunch. The Gyro Salad at this food truck was generously sized with fresh ingredients. The flavors werespot on, delicious! The service was efficient and friendly, graciously asking if I would like extra onion as well as some falafel added in! The server was exceptionally congenial thanking me for coming by and later, as I passed by, even asking me how my meal was and again thanking me for coming in! The food truck itself had a terrific vibe, well decorated with large, colorful, and deliciously appealing pictures of all the food on the menu. Hefty Gyros, great job! Well worth a visit!
